Is AI even usable in a GDPR-compliant way?
Yes, with the right setup. US APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) are cheap and powerful and can be operated GDPR-compliantly, provided the standard contractual clauses and data processing agreements are set up cleanly. For sensitive areas such as health or legal correspondence we recommend EU solutions or self-hosting. We advise you honestly on the trade-offs.
Why is AI integration a security topic?
Because every AI connection is an extended attack vector that most people underestimate. Prompt injection, data leakage to external models and poorly secured interfaces are real risks. Everything we build runs on hardened infrastructure with prompt-injection hardening.
How do I know whether AI is worth it for my case?
AI is not an end in itself. What AI can reliably do today we deploy; what it cannot yet do, we tell you honestly. We look at your use case and recommend only what genuinely saves you work.
US API, EU API or self-hosted – which is better?
It depends on your risk profile. EU APIs (e.g. Mistral) are GDPR-native and in many disciplines close to the US models, in special cases slightly behind. Self-hosted open-source models give you full data sovereignty but cost more to operate. We find the right mix – no universal stack.
