1. Data protection at a glance
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The site is static; there is no permanent server-side logging of access data (such as IP addresses, browser type or access times). Personal data you submit via the contact form is forwarded to us exclusively by email and is not stored in a database at the host. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with our host.

We do not transfer any personal data to third countries. All services used (web server, analytics, contact form) are operated on servers in the European Union.
4. Your rights
You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of processing, and, where applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You also have a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

5. Web analytics (Umami)
We use Umami, a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool. Umami sets no cookies, stores no personal data and no IP addresses, and does no cross-device tracking. It is operated on our own server in the European Union on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). Since Umami neither sets cookies nor accesses information on your device, consent under § 25 (1) TTDSG is not required.
6. Contact form
When you contact us via the contact form we collect your name, email address, area of interest (optional) and message. This data is forwarded to us by email and not stored in a database on the web server. For abuse prevention your IP address is held temporarily in memory (rate limiting: max. 5 requests per hour) and discarded automatically after one hour at the latest. The form also contains an invisible honeypot field to detect automated spam.
7. TLS encryption & cookies
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security. This website uses no cookies – neither for tracking nor for analytics or any other purpose.
